On to Finisterre?

Walking shoes waiting to walk forward. Pict by Karen, our England BC right now walking in Spain.

Dear Caminoheads,

So, what’s next? These days feel like the days after getting to Santiago and partying there, don’t they? Now, we have to make a decision, and for us, it seems right to keep walking… Maybe on to Finisterre, or Muxia, or maybe back to St. Jean, or maybe back home, but if there is something known to us is that we have to keep going, but keep going by walking.

I know we might be tempted to think we are done because we arrived, but as pilgrims, we know that the Camino starts once you get to Santiago. And it seems that this is a well expanded metaphor: this time, our Camino starts once we have gotten to the Oasis. Now, what is next?

The answer is not “let’s wait to see what future brings”. Remember, we are pilgrims. We have to leave a trail, a path. Even not present at the Oasis, I know what is my path forward, and would love to hear what or which is yours…

So, for you, what is next?

Walking on loves,

Cris

  1. Cris, thank you so much for keeping these posts up and alive. Everyone on this blog I feel was absolutely there at the ranch either physically or spiritually or mentally. We were all there, including you. Thank you for these posts. Ryck

    1. Dear Ryck,

Apologies for the late reply, but please know I read it when you wrote it and it made my day.
I agree with you, everyone on this blog is part of something larger, this neighborhood we often quote that doesn’t really require us to be in the same place to feel there. I would have loved to be there, but have been happy enough sharing it all with my body here but my heart there.

Thanks to you for your amazing contributions. Your writing is inspiring!
      Much love,
      Cris

  2. Cris ~ Post Oasis mountaintop is returning tomorrow to the Ranch to pitch in with anything left over that needs to be done. Might be tidying up, raking up, dumping up with definite time for walking Phil’s Camino, living and laughter with Our Phil and My Rebecca, and of course, Jelly popping in for wine and more chatting. Or is it chatting and more wine?

Then, on to camp with my grandsons, Bailey & Alex, Pilgrims of Phil’s Camino. Headed to Lake Crescent and the beach facing Victoria for a long weekend. Lots of exploring, walking stick gathering and more exploring.

For now….we’ll do more walking and back to Vashon’s Phil’s Camino next week for stories, living and laughter. Loves, too.

    1. How lucky you are Sherie!!!
Thank you for the helping hands; Catherine, Dana, Jim, Jen, Richard, Charlie… have done lots of work and surely were glad for your help.

      Thanks
      Kindly
      Cris
