Why Are We Here?

Our day ending.
Our day ending.

Or why do we stay here?  Why do we hang around when things get bad?  How would we as Caminoheads answer that?

If we start with the idea that we are not in charge of things that would be good.   If we see ourselves as totally unique individuals that would be good.  If we see ourselves living the manifestation of this unique personality that would be good.   Then all we have to do is to do our best to be ourselves, right?

Are we not living (walking) for each other?  Are we not here because we need each other?  Who can do this walk alone?  Who wants to do this walk alone?

The sun is going to set and our day is mostly over.  Some days are harder than others but we persist.    Some days I carry your pack and some days you carry mine.   We persist.  I love you immensely, Felipe.

  1. Amigo,

“Some days you carry my pack and some days I carry yours”. Best. Camino. Line. EVER.

Learning to love you too, man. Not too hard with stuff like that coming out of your brain.

  2. PFJ ~ I don’t know if I can take credit for stuff like that any more. There is so much great insight laying around if one if we can just stay on the right wave length. Especially associated with the Camino, there are just mounds and piles of it. As we internalize it at some point it just starts coming out through our pores and we start smelling pretty sweet. Yup, PFF.
