A Big Thank You

Good one!

There is a fourth grade class at St Joseph’s School in Upland, CA.  They are lovingly  being taught by a friend of ours Loretta Bowen.  My Rebecca and I met Loretta last summer and got a chance to met her class last fall.  What a remarkable meetings they were.

This crew is very intent on connecting me with God’s healing power.  They want to see a win for Mr Phil at Phil’s Camino.  Every school morning as a group they pray for me and my situation at 0815 at the start of the school day.  Like right now as I look at the clock thirty some intent school kids are sending out their energy.  You gotta love this!

So on this last Saturday, the between day that we were just blogging about,  I received a big envelope from guess who?  Yes, Mrs Bowen’s fourth grade class.  And inside were thirty some handmade Easter cards.  There were bunnys and eggs and crosses and rosaries and chicks and rainbows and one lone space alien.  Yea, for Mr Phil and Mrs Rebecca.  What a blessing these youngsters are!

I am going to think of something to brighten up their school year.  What if I put a donation can out on Phil’s Camino for the “St Joseph’s Fourth Grade Class Party”?  What if we collected a little cash for their fun.  And I would get to tell their story about how they pray for us because people would ask.  OK!

OK, I am glad that you know about that.  Off we go now for the morning walk.  The sky is blue and the trail is dry.  One lone space alien loves, Felipe.

  1. Let’s do it! Let us know where to send the check for the 4th grade party!

    1. Jean ~ hi and a Happy Easter. Have to love these kids, right? Let me work out a few details and I will let you know about how the fund will work. Thanks so much. Felipe.x

  2. I spent Easter vacation traveling where I did not have the Internet, so now I am catching up on the Caminohead blog. By the way, which is a very fun thing to do! I am so incredibly lucky to be teaching such beautiful kids. They are kind, loving, and faithful. It’s true that every single day we pray for “Mr. Phil” and they ask about how you are doing often. With their days so full of reading, writing, and math….even a simple treat would be special. Thank you for the beautiful thought…and know that WE BELIEVE IN MIRACLES!

    1. Hi Loretta ~ good for you that you had a chance to go to Cuba. The country is like a long lost friend that we chance upon. And yes, we have collected a little fund for your class. I am sure you will find a use for it, you know best. I will send it to you shortly as I want it to arrive in a timely fashion. Miss you all, Felipe.x
