The Snow

The first flakes here at the ranch. (photo P Volker)

Finally some snow began to fall here this morning. Hopefully it won’t amount to much. It has been falling for days now at higher elevations and has finally crept down here to the lowlands. I think that we are somewhere between 200 and 300 feet elevation right here, just out of the saltwater.

Well, the big question here in Seattle today is, “Is there life after football?” We, the Seahawks, got knocked out of the running by the Packers in the big game yesterday. We were close and all that but “no cigar” as they say. So, now we the fans are fumbling around and nothing seems right with the world. All of a sudden baseball takes on new importance.

Walking in a few minutes. Maybe I will try and take a pic or two for you. I have to quit early here at the blog to get bundled up for the trek.

Monday loves, Felipé.

  1. Hello Snow Man. I’m not afraid of walking in the snow–in fact, I think it would be fun–but as a Brooklyn girl who didn’t learn to drive until she moved to California, I am afraid of driving in the snow. So, though it breaks my heart to say it, I will not be able to come and visit, and walk with you tomorrow. Alas, I was so looking forward to it. I have some special tapas treats when I do come–maybe the 28th? I’m with you in spirit. Walk on.

    1. Henriette ~ hi. I was just going to get a hold of you to ask. Probably a very wise choice. We are sticking pretty darn close to the hearth here. See you on the 28h. Felipé.x

  2. Hi Boss,

So, no football but baseball??? Does it mean that I can go and have a new set of classes to understand the game??? Sounds super tempting!!!

Like you, I am thawed here… maybe if I go up there, I would come back to one human being!!!

We are water in all forms Love,
    Cris

    1. Cris ~ hi. Hot and humid there, hard to imagine for us currently blue people. Yea, back to baseball. As soon as our football team get knocked out of the competition in the winter we start talking about the upcoming spring baseball season. And visa versa. You are right though, you need both lessons. Maybe some hockey lessons thrown in. Alperfect, Felipé.x
