Or as Kelly would say,”It’s not a race, people!” Yesterday we talked about the idea that the Camino is not just a walk but it is a walk with a purpose. Today we are adding the idea that that purpose is not one of competing. The idea is not to win over someone by increasing the distance between you but to decrease the distance till you are with that someone.

Who might that someone be? Your hiking partner or a pilgrim that you are familiar with or is it someone intriguing that you caught a glimpse of yesterday or a week ago perhaps and lost track of or is it someone that has just shown up “out of the blue” or is it possibly yourself?

Whoever it is, everyone will prosper. Maybe that will be in some small way but maybe in some huge way, you never know. Don’t be shy, it’s all good in other words. Love, Phil.
