Yup, that’s what it looks like. There is scuttlebutt around the neighborhood that the storm may be less of a deal. Man, I can go along with that. Maybe the whole thing is a drill. Got everything ready for winter in general. So, it’s a good thing. Yea, and that soup is a masterpiece if I do say so myself.
Catherine and I are going to late Mass tomorrow. I am going to hunt at daybreak and see what I can find. I have to cash in on one of these deer that fattened up on my sweet corn the last two months.
Well, that’s what it looks like around here. Just a little wet around the edges, love, Felipe.
Hola, Amigo!
Pretty gray here as well, but unusually warm. Probably brewing up some high powered storms. When October turns on you, she can be really nasty.
Chasing those deer with your trusty bow, I presume? There are so many around here now I have to wait for them to get out of the way of the combine. Iowa bow season starts at the end of the month, and then muzzle loaders. I’m all for that, but they’ve also opted for a “hand gun” season and that one makes me a little queasy-too many untrained pistoleros around to make me comfortable. Shotgun season starts the first week end of December, and it’s the real biggy. Sounds like a shooting gallery in the neighborhood when that one opens up.
Last weekend of October is our family hunting favorite with ringneck pheasant season opener. We’ll all be out stomping through the Big Bluestem prairie grass. The best population we’ve had in many years out there now. You may as well come on out and join us 🙂

PFJ ~ hey, what does it cost for a three day out of state bird license there, less and than $500? They really beat the heck out of out of staters. Sounds tempting. Say hi, Felipe.
