Tomorrow, December 21st, is kind of a big deal around these parts. Phil’s something like 73rd birthday for one. And more importantly the 7th anniversary of Phil’s Camino the Trail. Yea, we opened in 2013 seven months before my Spanish Camino.

Annie, the dear has scheduled a Zoom Party at 5 PM Pacific Time tomorrow. Hopefully we will be able to cast this net far and wide and get a bunch of you. You have to register for this at Zoom beforehand. Here is the link for that:

Here we are deep into Advent. Deep into waiting on so many things this year. We pray that we hold it together day after day, month after month.

Tomorrow,21st December,is the Equinox or Solstice, and thus the real New Year.in 2020 it occurs at 13:30 UTC,when the Sun finally reaches the lowest point it’ll set in the sky, from a northern hemisphere perspective, and starts heading north again.it always threw me why it was called the Equinox as the night and day are far from equal but they are for someone stood on the Tropics of Cancer or Capricorn and it’s takes it’s name from this.For someone on the Equator they’re always equal.on the Antarctic Circle the sun won’t set and on the Artic Circle it won’t rise.

    I have been contemplating the JOMO and shared it with family last night. There is a lot of truth there–letting go, not feeling we have to do everything, slowing down.

    But we hope not to miss out on the Zoom party tomorrow and plan to be there!
    And glad Becky can meet you again!

  5. Phil, Happy Birthday and Happy Winter Solstice. Something very appropriate about your birthday also marking the day when we begin to have more hours of sunlight. I’m bummed that I won’t be able to make your Zoom birthday party. I have a college alumni Zoom thing at the same time. If the party lasts more than an hour perhaps I can catch it late.
