Back Home

Felipe checking out the LA fashions.

Back here just in time to watch Washington Husky Football. Big game tonight. Playing Utah and the winner gets to go to the Rose Bowl, so pretty darn exciting.

I want to let you in on what I have been doing these last few days. Went down to LA to work with the staff at the Cedars Sinai Cancer Rehab Department. They have developed this wonderful program called GRACE to teach resiliency to cancer patients.

They have been using Phil’s Camino, the documentary as part of this class. So Annie and I showed up down there to do a showing for a reunion of the students and then a QandA. We were told that maybe eight would show up and really there were thirty five. It went really well.

We did a luncheon showing for hospital professionals and following a QAndA. That was supposed to have eighty and one hundred and forty crowded in for that. Another success.

I really don’t know what all this means for the future but we got a start on something. This is cutting edge in the world of cancer treatment, that’s important to say. We are in the process of putting together some amazing new stuff.

OK, back to football for now. See you tomorrow. Amazing new love, Felipé.x

    1. Sherie ~ the first of December today, can you believe it? Miss seeing you around. Felipe.x

  1. I think you took those corn seeds down to LA to show something, and planting gives harvest, which you saw in your time there… One dandelion plant makes 10,000 seeds. You are in the seeding work.

    1. Michelle ~ my corn buddy was such a big hit. It gave me a springboard to talk about abundance. And that lead to talking about other kinds of abundance, not just the physical. And realizing that perhaps there is abundance that we are yet to discover. I told them that the key was to pay attention, that clues would show up. Alperfect, Felipé.x

  2. Thst’s Tremendous! Sorry to have missed you and this nest event! Hope to hear more soon,

    1. Carol ~ the whole thing was very short and sweet. Perhaps we will do more, hope so. How are things? Hello to Kelly. Felipé.x

  3. Querido Felipe,

Wow! That’s amazing! Have you ever stopped to think what you have generated? Yes, the blog, but this community around attending the blog, the ones who became friends, all the people that showed up at Phil’s Camino, the distances walked, and THIS business of encouragement and life around cancer… and so much more… This is one of the reasons you are my hero, Felipe! But let me warn you; there are others!
Thank you & Gracias for allowing me to be part of this!
    Huge love,
    Cris

    1. Cris ~ so glad to have you here to help with all this. We are blessed is the only way to look at it. We need a FaceTime. Felipé.x

  4. Fabulous Fil!
Really— that is better than we hoped. And great news!
I hope there were some good conversations about some of the details, too.
    Congrats on a rewarding trip!

  5. And there are thousands around the world that you nor Annie will ever meet that have both seen the video or heard one of us tell the story. In my case, few I have shared with have cancer, but every one of them is in a relationship with a person walking that journey, and/or a caretaker walking beside. And not one of us is immune from one day hearing that diagnosis about our own body. And we know it.

So the seed planting metaphor is just right. Not every seed that finds a place in the soil makes a plant and the resulting increase in seeds, but many do. Your family’s story is powerful, Annie’s production is amazing and memorable and each time the story is told it speaks into existence abundance. I’m just agreeing with what you(all) said. Keep saying it.

Love and hugs to all of the Caminoheads from the Eastern mountains

    1. Ronaldo ~ so great to have you on board. Thanks for being with us as we lessen the fear and push the envelope. Somehow every single day is important now. It’s moving mountains time for Caminoheads. We have the momentum bro. Hello to Ann. Felipe.
