Such nice thoughts have come in on the comments lately. I am really blessed with such a great audience. I may feel beat up because of the chemo but I am “mighty because of Grace.” Thank you Nancy for that. Cris and Loretta sending blessings and covering me with prayer. I am in the flow of pilgrims for sure.
Speaking of pilgrimage, Phil’s Camino is looking for another route to walk here. We finished our second SJPP to Santiago and then just recently Santiago to the coast and back. Maybe you have a guidebook or map detailed enough to extract the little towns and distances between them. Any recommendations? We might even be ready for Ireland or Italy.
Today is supposed to be the hottest of of the days in our current heat wave. We will be up to the 90’s and some places even low 100’s. That is broiling for us wimpy northerners. The air is full of smoke from wildfires. That is always creepy. I am going to get my walk in here in a few minutes and say a rosary or two before it gets any warmer.

What about Assisi? In honor of Pope Francis… or to Lujan, our Lady of Argentina… look it up… this pilgrimage is massive, done in 1 day, and the story of the basilica emplacement is amazing.

I don’t think that my sister & I will be able to get in a trip to Vashon, but I am so happy to have found your blog & read it every day to continue on my pilgrimage! And I am praying for you! You are such an inspiration, as I am with my sister and helping her deal with a few more medical treatments, and pack her up to move to So Cal to be near family. A daily walk of surrendet and granting & receiving grace!
Your visit to Lake Forest took supernatural grace! I know what chemo does to my sister & can’t believe that you were able to sustain the energy that trip must have taken! You are more than “that flower pushing through the sidewalk”!
My husband has cousins in Ireland that we visited last fall. Bernie is the eldest of 7 brothers and he had battled prostrate cancer, but was at that time cancer-free! He spoke about the Camino in Santiago, but decided that he wanted to walk from the northernmost tip of the west coast of Ireland to the southernmost tip; weather permitting; perhaps over several seasons; going back & forth from his home in Mullingar. I must find out the exact location where he started; how far he has gone & where he will end.
