RIP Chuck

RIP Chuck Yeager, a hero to all of us. He died today or yesterday. Well, yea, he flew away, like he should! Hehe. I didn’t mean to be funny there but it just happened. What is the pilot’s pilot going to do but fly away!

Just a memory here. When we were crossing the Pyrenees in July 2014 I was thinking of Chuck. He served as a fighter pilot in World War Two and was shot down twice over Europe. Both times he was hidden by the underground and then he walked over the Pyrenees from France to Spain to escape. I wonder what his routes were? Maybe he took the Napoleon Way once or twice. Maybe I could find that out somehow. Do we have an R and D department? Wait a minute we have Kevan!

I have to mention that the Caminoheads blog receives lots of spam daily. Spam equals unwanted communication as for soliciting for drugs, and Russian girlfriends and the like. There has been a lot of traffic about financial robots lately too. And then there are folks that send out sort of generic messages to bloggers to snag them for what I don’t know. Here is a good one that just came in: “Rattling nice style and fantastic written content, practically nothing else we require.” D. Korrie Issac Voccola. Yea!!

What a blog post today, practically nothing else we require!

  1. Hi boss,

I am finding pretty interesting the variety of topics we are discussing lately in the blog! Is it that we find any topic interesting or that we are undecided of what to talk about?! It made me thought of a conversation I had with 6 pilgrims from France, 3 couples; only one spoke English and I don’t speak French, but it was still ok and we managed to walk together and talk for an hour even when I had no clue what we talked about!

I love the prompt for our calendar today… I am known to be Pied Piper of Hamelin for children… and this is how in addition to my biological nephews, I have been collecting nephews and nieces all over the world, and it is one of the things I am the proudest of… I have Bia and Edu in Brazil, Martina in Spain, Myrtha in Serbia, Kai in the USA, Thomas and Marton in France, Oran and Cora in Scotland, Olivia, James and Zach in the East and Lottie in the West of Ireland… Christmas season is one of the seasons I can be more present in their lives, sharing the traditions we have here that they do not have where they live. The arrival of the Three Wise Men on January 6th is my favorite, and I love to send them presents that they parents can tell have arrive from a very far place, as the tradition tells.

    Fantastic written content Loves,
    Cris

    1. Cris ~ Maybe the blog is a little scattered lately. My brain is a little scattered lately too so it is just a reflection. I feel more centered today. I listened to a wonderful podcast last evening which was very Camino. Am going to talk about it today. This is supposed to be a blog about the Camino I hear. Anyway miss you desperately, Felipé.x

      1. I don’t think it is “scattering”! I think it is that we are interested in a lot of topics! Speaks about our broader minds, hearts and souls!
Love your missing me desperately loves,
        Cris

        1. Cris ~ OK, I will take the good side of that. Thank you. I guess it is just the pandemic goofies I am experiencing. Thanks some more, Felipè.x

    2. Cris ~ and it is wonderful all the young folk that you are pals with. Very nice, Felipé.x
