Straight Shooting

Some things are just coincidental right? I mean everything doesn’t mean something significant, right? It is just a once in a while thing, right? Anyway, had a dream last night or the night before, forget which, about shooting. Yea, as in hitting the mark.

As usual I am short on details but remember two important points. One, that Wiley, our son, did an amazing shot on a grouse as in “bringing home the bacon” kind of shot. And two, Cris (CSABC) was in it too. She was shooting in a contest using primitive rifles, early nineteenth century equipment. I was coaching her and she was doing great shot after shot; consistent she was. I bet she is laughing reading this, like what the heck? I know Cris you never fired a rifle in your life and here you are winning a contest!

I am writing this today because I found this pic of Annie Oakley, famous American shooter on FaceBook just a minute ago. That is the coincidence. But maybe you need to know this about Cris that she is consistently good, consistently on the mark, a real Annie Oakley. Hehe!

Sometimes we just have to go with dream inspired stories. Here at Caminoheads nothing is too small or too big to cover. For instance I just went out for more firewood and caught a glimpse of a raven flying overhead carrying a twig, somebody is building a nest close by.

OK, walk this afternoon at 3:30. It should be pretty.

  1. Dear Phil,

Definitely, I had a good laugh when reading the post!!! First, I must say THANK YOU so much for the compliments, they come particularly handy at this time, when I feel I am so far away from the mark, but you know… <3

The dream actually is not too far away from reality on another sense: actually on Thursday I spoke about you and mention how much of a teacher you are to me… how much I have been learning from you since our path crossed, so while indeed I have never ever have a gun and less a riffle near me, I can totally see you "coaching me" and I winning as a result! And this conversation I had on Thursday included actually the work I do and your treatment, so now, I am thinking that you and I are a good team in many senses…

With these interesting topics being discussed in the blog lately, and March starting, I have to get organized and return to this routine… summer months are awesome but now I realize, they cause such a disorganization with so much daylight…

    I have missed you!

Just have to say I love to be in your team Loves,
    Cris

    1. Southern Cris ~ not that there is a northern Cris. You are my only Cris, let me reassure you. Well, you know how synchronicity works, I had the dream for you. That sounds pretty crazy. The pic of Annie Oakley prompted me to remember the dream also which is an important link. But after all that you get the meaning of it all. It’s all very special.

Also in the dream, remember that Wiley made a really good shot at a grouse (chicken of the woods) to feed us. That is commendable but different then your shooting which is also good but good because as a whole it is very consistent. You are able to keep the concentration up over time which is how you win competitions.

All one big love fest, Felipé.x
