Picking Corn

Annie and the Padre at Verandatime.

Just picked some Golden Jubilee for Jim and Richard. They walk with me quite often. Jim spent a lot of time weeding with me back in June and helped plant in May, It was a lot of work in June. Right now the picking is the easy part.

We have the wood stove hauled out of the house. It needs a rebuild before the heating season. Getting ready for Fall here at the Ranch, transition time.

I have been lagging on writing about the Veranda celebration. Still too new I guess. It had a lot of moving parts for me and they need sorting out. But I also need to say that the Bureau Chiefs have volunteered to take over blogging Friday’s to give me a break. The plan was to do that on a rotating basis. And I think that we have Farmer John slated to do tomorrow’s. So stand by for that.

Off I go loves, Felipé.

  1. Dear Phil,

It is lovely to read the blog now and “know” who you are talking about… “Jim and Richard, oh yes! I know them!”

Friday off tomorrow! Farmer Pilgrim John will do his best to fill in… after all he is a hard worker farmer and we know he doesn’t lack words, necessarily!

I am in the metro, just left the office, but it is not possible to take the mini bus today… the city is collapsed with protests, cuts in the streets and there were some violent incidents against those who were coming to work. Unfortunately, we don’t seem to find non violent ways to express our ideas, and we don’t seem to know ways to express our disagreements without making life impossible for those with whom we don’t agree. Lots to learn…

    Still hopeful Loves

    1. Cris ~ so glad that you made it here for the visit. It was good for all of us to meet. i am having trouble writing about the experience as of yet. Suppose I am experiencing some sort of reentry from my own party. That’s funny.

I din’t know that there was unrest presently in Argentina. I hate that stuff. Are you safe enough? We should have kept you here! Felipé.x
