I Have Heard

The sun going down last evening. Subtle sunset it was.

My biggest fault with this blog is that I spend too much energy on content and not enough on other aspects. Well OK, I’m fixated on my writing. Yes, it’s been a challenge and I am proud of my improvement over the months. But for the blog to improve I need to get some other things on the front burner.

One of those things is access for readers. Having the blog emailed daily is a must. And I have been baffled when folks have asked about this, about how to set it up. But just heard from a friend that she was trying with no success and then after she wrote a comment in she was suddenly getting a daily post via her email. I just looked and at the bottom of a day’s comments there is a button to click that says something like “send new posts in email”. So, let’s try that if you want. It would make it easier for you.

And I love the comments and try to answer each and every one. And read them as we go along. They bring up extra thoughts and ideas. Nothing is private in there so read away. When you comment your email address shows up for me and if there is anything private that we need to cover we can do it in email. OK?

I am going to hire Hanna the lovely girlfriend of son Wiley to help me reconfigure the site. It needs some help I realize. So that is coming up. This will make it easier to use and information about events, related blogs and websites will be accessible.

Well, I wrote about a lot of nuts and bolts stuff today, sometimes that needs to be done. OK, off to my day, sometimes love you with nuts and bolts love, Felipe.

  1. Happy New Year darling Phil! The other good thing about having your blog sent as an email is that you can reply from it too. And we all get to read along.
Love to you all on Vashon and all Caminoheads!

    1. Big hearted Esther ~ thanks for chiming in so right away. Time to work on improving the blog. Thanks for helping out. Are you coming up for the trip to Victoria? There was a rumor. Love you and safety third, Felipe.

  2. hey Buddy– The blog, and your writing, are frikkin awesome. Your writing has become graceful and authentic. Not an easy thing to learn and demands clarity of thought and daily work to accomplish. Well, check those two criteria off the list, huh?

It’s snowing here in Ashland again– and beautiful. For all kinds of reasons it brings our outdoor and indoor times into crystal clear focus, enveloped in the full cloak of feeling from each event. I can see the the BLM and Forest Service lands that are a 20 minute drive away. The cougar and bear tracks always are as joyful to see as they are somewhat…surprising? There’s a almost guaranteed chance to find big Toms here in April. I”ll have roosts scouted and our trip planned. You and Rebecca will stay here.

In Danish we have a special word for this stuff because it is so important and essential to our culture. The word means something like “Christmastime cozy” if I were to try to translate. The word is “hyggeligt”
(Hewg e lickt ). Hyggeligt. It describes so many of our times together– in tents, at tables, in the field, on the roof — with the dogz.

    Enjoy the feeling.

    1. Hyggeligt buddy, if I can use it as a greeting. Thank you for the wonderful comment, all kinds of hyggeligting going on with you. OK, a trip is planned for April, nice. We will have to look at our calendars. When is opening day of turkey? Snow on the ground and in the 20’s here, looking for cat tracks. Hello to Jo. BuddyPhil.

    1. Catalina ~ is it possible to search Caminoheads blog? Well, good question. I never categorized anything as to topic. A word search may be possible but this is beyond little old me. Uncharted jungle in there. Felipé.x
