Been Busy

Been busy in the early morning wakeful moments bringing peace to the battlefield that is my body. Around four I was in my meditation position and invited the spirit of Mother Mary to be with me and my turmoil. Is there a way through this mess? Hmm. Not too long ago I came across a little card that had “Mary the untier of knots.” Mary would help in your knotty life was the idea.

Yes, well I am there certainly. And thinking back to a place I was five years ago when I was searching for comfort which I felt was in short supply on the Protestant side of Christianity. Mary was drawing me across that wide Protestant/Catholic divide. OK, so I’m here on the Catholic side of things now, how can I get closer to Mary and that comfort that would be so welcomed? So, I have been busy working on that. That would be a good one to bring up with Sister Joyce at our next meeting.

And then Our Jennifer is off to the hospital today to get a scan. And tomorrow we both are back for consultation and treatment. Prayers for us please and especially for my Cancer Commando partner during this anxiety producing time. Mother Mary be with us, let us rest in your lap.

Been busy with my Bible Guys also. Two things are going on that are dovetailed together in a nice way. One, I have to lead the lesson for this Saturday morning’s class and two, I am working with our latest member getting him help on how to give a lesson. Philip (I’m Phil and he is Philip) is coming over to the ranch tonight for dinner then we are going to work on this afterwards for an hour or two. I will show him one way to prepare anyway. So, it is always benefical for me to give a lesson because I learn more that way. And now giving a lesson on how to give a lesson is also greatly helpful to me in a slightly different manner.

OK, I have to wrap this up and get to my day which looks like I will be here at the ranch playing catch up with projects that maybe should have been done last month. Projects needing attention as cleaning the chimney, cleaning the gutters and squirrel proofing my bird feeders on the Camino. I have been reading lately about how I should feel complete in my incompleteness. I’m busy with that too.

Alperfect in an very incomplete way, but very love, Felipe.

  1. Hola Amigo Felipe!

I have to keep it short today. All I can say is, if you were a movie, I’d pay to go see it 🙂 Oh, Wait! You ARE going to be a movie! And that will be well worth seeing. I got a short note from Sybil and hope she will be comfortable following up with some questions. It would be “heaven-like” to be able to discuss them with all of us around a table on Vashon Island. It might even require Annie as a moderator to keep us contained in our answers 🙂

    1. PFJ ~ OK, quick let’s all of us jump on planes! Oh wait, only some of us have to do that! But no joke, we will have to get together somewhere sometime. We need a grant, PFF.

  2. LOL It’s funny that I jumped on to do some binge reading of your blog, Felipe! Just a little while after submitting to a film festival in Dubuque, mainly because of PFJ, ha ha! I will keep you posted. The ilm fest starts on April 21, and we will know if we have been accepted by March 15. So we have some time. One way or another. . . we can’t help ourselves!

    1. Annie ~ was just trying to communicate with PFJuan but my iPad ate it. I will try again. I was trying to tell him about the Iowa/film combo. Anyway I think his headquarters is near Iowa City which is less than 100 miles from Dubuque, so it’s in his neighborhood. He is very networkie with lots of connections so this could be good. We have to pay attention to the heartland. Love, Felipe.

  3. Hola Annie and Felipe!

I’m absolutely sure this is a “first timer” for me, and at “damn-near-70” those are rare events! But, having the adjective “networkie” applied to my person is a just so new and so cool. Can’t wait to tell my grandkids 🙂
Dubuque is truly in “our neck of the woods”, plus we love it up there. Add to that, a dear friend live there who just happens to be a New York Times best selling author (now on her 5th release) and really IS somebody who is widely connected can only bode well for a showing of your Camino story. When Heather Gudenkauf talks, people listen. In fact, they come from all over to hear her and buy her books 🙂
The coolest thing yet would be if we had our 1929 Model A (Christened “Annie”, don’t you know) completely restored and there to give you both a ride to the opening!! Hubba hubba!! I’m seeing stars in your future!

    1. PFJuan ~ yea networkie, I made that up. But you are in the club for sure! I knew that I could count on you to stir the Iowa pot up. But they have to accept us first. Well, you will have to get together with Annie on this stuff. Yea and then there is Annie the model A, how cool is that. OK, have to go work on my taxes, rainy rainy day here in Rainville, FFFelipe.
