They say a picture is worth a thousand words. These photos say so much about who you are and what and whom you care about. What a beautiful idea.
Catherine ~ the visuals are fun aren’t they? Life along the Camino can’t always be explained in words and the pics help. OK, down to business, Thursday morning we are going to walk into Burgos. Can you guys make it. Love, Felipe.
Love it! Love you <3

Annie ~ good morning. That’s a great call sign, “Nuff Said”! Buen Camino, love, Felipe.
Hola Felipe!
Great photo album of a year well lived. Cathy has started selecting our favorite photos of the year and sending them off to “Shutterfly” and having them made into a hardback book. Great use of new technology that surpasses our often failed attempts at putting those best shots in a scrap book. Somehow, the pix get lost just when you decide that TODAY is the day you’re going to do that oft put off job 🙁
The magazine shot with you on the cover marks the beginning of PFJ knowing PFF. Pretty special.
SF,
PFJ
PFJ ~ you guys are so techno buff over there in the heartland, talking Shutterfly and stuff. I think I need to do some captions on those pics and credit the photographers. Yes, the mag with Phil on the cover came out in February, as it was the March issue. That magazine has won some wonderful awards nationwide for being an outstanding diocesan publication. Won the First Place for Excellence for 2015 from the Catholic Press Association. Of course, that incredible Camino story didn’t hurt, right?
I talked to my college roommate from forestry school, who is back in Western NY, last night for an hour and 25 minutes. My Rebecca loves to listen in as we get so excited about corn engineering, deer and turkey hunting, 16 gauge shotguns, three altered deer, albino squirrels, yea all the good stuff. We are a little backwoods, maybe.
We also talked Iowa. His Dad’s roots are in Britt, just west of Mason City on Rt 18. Although his wife has put the nix on driving across Iowa just for fun, I think being in all the corn there is a little glimpse of heaven for him. I can relate. PFF.
Britt proudly calls itself the “Hobo Capital of the World”, and with some authority, I might add. We were fortunate enough to be riding thru it on our annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa one year while the celebration was going on. You’ll be proud to know that PFJ and his other USMC cohorts managed to get ourselves set up as the Consort and Honor Guard for the Hobo Queen that year. Yeah! Right! The Marines have landed and the situation is well in hand!!
PFJ ~ And kudos for the Queen for finding you guys. It’s so hard to get good cheap help these days. Haha. Yea, Britt! PFF
