  1. Thought of you so much. Glad you had James and Wiley for company and strong fire for warmth, but… well didi you get some food?

    1. PFJ ~ somewhere along the line I have found out that there are two kinds of people in the world. One goes on a break, to a spa say, to be rolled in warm butter and the other type go to the middle of nowhere to be challenged. My Rebecca is the former type and has long ago become wary of my trips. Yea, long ago she took out the first life insurance on me after I took her on a fun drive on mountian roads. It’s not for everyone as they say.

So, I got some unsuspecting young studs to go on this one. It was major fun in a Marine sort of way, tired muscles, out of breath, frozen, wind blown, soaked now and then. We got into California Quail, Hungarian And Chukar Partridge. We saw eagles, turkeys, a Bighorn ewe, bunches of elk; no deer, coyotes, Cougars or rattlers.

If you figured out how much the meat that you got out of the deal would cost it would be easy a hundred dollars a pound. But being out in God’s playpen and passing on the lore is priceless. Alperfect, althankful, Felipe.

  2. Our Camino is so much on my mind today for myriad reasons: losing a student & friends of friends in the Paris attacks, postposing my own study abroad program for the summer, my son flying to an unnamed Middle Eastern destination for several months today) and then you and Wonderful Wiley make our life’s journey so real, finding out that a cancer survivor co-volunteer has had a very bad biopsy report today, the bonding and the challenges we all experience as we walk Our Way.
It’s all so much a part of a single thing: to love and be loved. And to just live.

Alperfect, Felipe! Missing you and Your Rebecca but wishing all of us a wonderful and thankful Thanksgiving!

    1. MM ~ good to hear from you Our Friend always. You have had a lot of stuff flying at you lately, I can tell. Praying for you as I walk like always. God laid out this challenge for us but is always with us as we go, we know that. The best to you and yours as we approach Thanksgiving and Advent. My eyes are closing. Miss you As always, love, Felipe.
