Our Blank Canvas, 2021

We have a new Bureau Chief I am very proud to announce. He walked with me and with others in our extended family there on the trail. His name is Sherif and he just sent a pic from Egypt where he and his family reside.

From Egypt!

So that is new here, very new. And a lot of new things will be happening with us in the unfolding of this new year! Are we ready?
Have we thought about changes that we need to make to parallel or even facilitate what will be 2021, the new year that we just have an opening glimpse of.

Perhaps we need:

New settings.
New attitudes.
New looks.
New scoresheets.
New tools.
New measurements.
New ways and means.
New connections.
New nourishment.
New healing.
New ways to love.
New ways to grow.
New ways to relate.
New ways to see the stars.
New clothes.
A new walk.
A new talk.
New ways to get our ducks in a row.
New ambitions.
New motivations.
New devotions.
New ways to say thank you.
New ways to say I’m sorry.
New ways to make music.
New ways to paint.

Well, it is a start. This blank canvas can be scary if we let it or it can be one big precious opportunity. What color shall we start with?

dark dark blood red loves, Felipé.

  1. Dear Phil,

I will have to renew that picture in the Niagara falls to be attuned with this one from Sheriff! What a great beginning to have him joining us and with that pict! I am looking forward to have his thoughts and points of view circulating in the neighbourhood!

I agree with you that we can use this new year to review our hearts, soul and minds and see what we need. Personally, this year, I won’t add to my plate anything related with goals, ambitions, numbers, measurements, scores… Our Advent Calendar made me realize that what my days need are resources to like, love and enjoy my days more: I need to find more ways to be attentive, to do one thing at a time, to be more grateful, to be nicer to myself recognizing where my real success in life is, and those sort of bullets. I am all into finding new ways to love, new ways to look at the stars, new healings, new connections, new talks, (I WOULD SO LOVE A NEW WALK, I SO MUCH NEED NEW WAYS TO GET MY DUCKS IN A ROW and I WOULD WELCOME NEW WAYS TO FIND NOURISHMENT OTHER THAN IN CAKES!!!!!)

And yes, we have 362 opportunities left to do that, or way more actually, as every minute we have here counts, or in fact, we have one opportunity every time a thought crosses our mind and we experience an emotion in our body.

The color to start the canvas will be yellow… a bright yellow with a touch of green. A color that may remind me that everything in nature starts shy, softly, with a speak of shinny light, but with the potential of hosting lots of energy when exposed to the light of the world, as chlorophyl in plants.
