My/Our Next Camino

White Eagle’s words have served to crystallize my thoughts during this strange time. I had my thoughts but they swirled and eddied uncontrollably. But now I see the beginning of the trail.

The goal or the Santiago of this journey is to get through that portal that she talked about. “You were prepared to go through this crisis. Take your toolbox and use all the tools available to you.” We have been trained for this, extensively I might add. We have to realize that! We have these tools!

Getting through this current ordeal joyfully with energy left over is the next challenge, the next Camino. Little did we all know several short months ago that we would be on this road and on this road together. It is all Buen Camino again!

This is the only road right now. Isolation and depression take us through the hole to be lost. Getting on the road is getting away from that. We will be together again. Can you see it? We know how to do this. Can you see it?

onward loves, Felipé.

  1. Dear Phil – Actually, Felipe-,

Felipe has written today’s post, this is so Felipe. I like this that you said, that little did we know that would be in this situation of the pandemic in our 2020 year… and maybe beyond 2020 with the current news of the safety issues associated with the Oxford vaccine… and yet, here we are: singing in the balconies some, others singing the happy birthday to our neighbors through the corridors, others doing the groceries for people we didn’t even know before even when they might have been living next door for ages, some of us staying at home alone for days and days without seeing anyone, and all these folks sitting at the pilgrims table Annie created on facebook, and the Spanish neighbors going to the pharmacy for Ron and Ann when they were locked down… and I could go on…

What I am trying to say, I guess, is that we didn’t know what 2020 had on the books for us, and despite we were put upside down, we managed to create beauty, solidarity, community, support, neighborhooding, togethernessing, pilgrims tables with tapas through screens… how was that possible? Well, I guess, it is because we don’t need to be in the best of the situations to see beauty, we don’t need to have excess to help our neighbor, we don’t need to know the other to be create community, we don’t need to extend a physical hand to show support… we learn all that in extreme in the bootcamp that the Camino is, and then, we started in small scales in our homes and with our friends, and then we extended a bit more “extra-walls” and then, the pandemic pushed us to the deep waters… and here we are…

And that is the best. We are HERE. Each of us in our own HERE, but TOGETHER.

And that is the best of the feelings. I would love to hug you, and get one of your hugs, but I have a couple in my heart, and with RE-CORDAR, I pass them on frequently through my heart and I experience them again.

    Bootcamp Love and Hugs,
    Cris

    1. Cris ~ yes, mostly we have done well so far. But I sense that we have a long way to go. But our training has been good and we know how to continue. Felipé.x

      1. We do… the pandemic is no way close to an end… and we have to have that in mind… But I look forward to finding how to navigate this “together”…
