Last Treatment, Next Stop France

Am getting things checked off my to do list.  This is my last treatment day, then back on Friday to the hospital to get disconnected and I am done with this  for a while.  Dr Gold gave me my next treatment off and wished me a good trip so I feel blessed.

Cloudy out now looking out the window.  It was so beautiful out yesterday at the ranch along the trail.  It was that day that everything looks so beautiful that you finally call it spring!  A little regression in the weather today but we’ll bounce back.

I am trying not to think too much about The pilgrimage to Lourdes at the moment.  I have this cabinet job to get installed before I go so that has my attention.  When that gets completed I can relax and change modes.  Not that I wouldn’t like to get “prepared”.

So fortunate to have this chance at another pilgrimage.  This is so timely for me and Caminoheads blog.  Will be reporting from there daily.  Padre Tomas will be by my side to help me interpret the happenings.  Hopefully wifi will be in good supply.  So as long as I have energy and wifi we will be broadcasting.  Blogging like we mean it, right?

You one thing that I haven’t given enough time to lately is the new flock of ducks happening next door at Wiley and Henna’s.  They got four baby ducks that are pretty dang cute.

Amphibious Foursome
Wiley with the new webfoots.

Yup, that’s the way it is today.  Time for lunch.  Ducky loves, Felipe. x

  1. Well, my friend, to reprise your ‘Pilgrimatic Calling’ in a new way, via Order of Malta/Lourdes, is fundamentally – what’s the word?– Exciting/Inspiring/Wonderful/Compelling to witness. From my view as one of us without the Pilgrimatic Calling, your exploring and sharing the experience of putting legs on your calling ( ok, tortured metaphor…) is a gift. I mean, a Gift – an unexpected and freely given kind of sustenance. Plus, there’s a bit of a vicarious anticipatory joy in it all, too. Delightfully nutritious manna at the spiritual smörgåsbord.

And the cabinets are expectedly gorgeous. Wish I was there to lend a hand on that project; wish I was in town and could sit with you today.

    1. Steve ~ Ah, we are just tortured metaphor kind of guys when it comes right down to it, hey? We are having some major breakthroughs lately. The Knights said that I would be receiving certain graces even before the Lourdes pilgrimage. Stuff is boiling over. Yes, and morels are happening. Where should I start looking my mushroom guru?Phil.

  2. Hola Felipe,

So many births in your life this year… your granddaughter, these 4 furry grandchildren,… all this hope in the world… isn’t it? I can’t believe that the trip to Lourdes is so close… I remember the post in which you mentioned this vague possibility last year…

    Hope, I said?

    Definitely, Hopeful Love,
    Cris

    1. Cris ~ yes, hope is where you find it like wild mushrooms. We are a hopeful lot. Yes, new granddaughter, Freya.
Yes, new duck flock. New pilgrimage on the horizon too. Spring is the season of hope. Stirring the pot, Felipe.x

  3. Under cottonwoods, in orchards, anywhere there’s been a fire!
    What happens before Lourdes?
How ya feeling w/new recipe? Still pretty good?
Reading O’Donohue Eternal Echos. Celtic Reflections onOur Longing to Belong. I may need your counsel when you return. ETD?

    1. Steve-O ~ OK, thanks for the mushroom knowledge. Will be on that wavelength starting now. Nothing worse than finding hundreds that are too old. What happens before Lourdes mostly is getting this little cabinet job installed. I have the finishing 3/4 done. Hanging doors with hinges, catches and pulls. Then get them up at the church hall. The new recipe is working out for me, still needs fine tuning to get in the flow of it over each two weeks. O’Donohue is good stuff. I will be back on the 9th and than at the treatment center on the 10th and 12th. Will you be up here? Phil.
