Just Futzing Around

Amazing Central American bird.

My Rebecca used that word “futz” this morning.  My mother used to use that word and haven’t heard it for centuries.  It may fit my blog post this morning.  I’ve been with little sleep over the past two nights, steroid side effect, so I may futz myself through this whole day.

futz – waste time, idle or busy oneself aimlessly.

futz around with – deal with (something) in a trifling way; fiddle with.

Yea, that’s what I’m talking about.  I am going to futz with my day today.

William from  Calgary sent some nice pics of a two day hike he did with some students in the Canadian Rockies.   But what was super nice were pics of places were he prayed for me.  How about that?  Love that guy and I hope to meet him one day.

Jim my oldest friend and his wife Gloria are going to be here next week.  Annie my producer/director will be here also.  She has a film in the Tacoma Film Festival.  So we will be visiting.

Raining out now.  The weather is starting to change.  But I have been telling you that but still it is the most significant happening here at this time.

Well, time to futz forward or futz onward.  Love you guys, Felipe.

  1. Futz. My grandma (Bedste Mor, or “Besta” in Danish) and my mom used it he term futz all the time. Besta also used “faunch “ to mean something like “wrestle around with” as in “ Steve, your bedcovers look like you faunched around all night.”
    Anyway…
When is the film showing in Tacoma? I need to tell Aho’i and his (new) wife!
Go easy my friend. Fall dictates that you do—

    1. Steve – O ~ My mother’s vocabulary was dotted with Yiddish words. I think futz is one or from one. So, just to let you know Phil’s Camino isn’t showing in Tacoma. It is Annie’s next film and we are going on Sat to see it. I think it’s 1000. So how are you lately? Air cleaned up and the temperature down, you should be doing better. We are busting butt here with the finale of summer. Power washing and staining the deck right now. Always something. How’s the hound? Wiley got the new dog, the Belgian Shepard who is pretty sweet. She retreives so we are toying with the idea of thanking her on the hunt. Don’t know about gunshiness yet. OK, have to go. Hello to Jo. Best wishes Phil.
