Happy Birthday Cris

Here it is, Cris’s birthday. And I know that none of us here reading this will be able to smile to her in person or give her a hug today. Somehow I want us to be with her in some way that we can.

Let me say to start this little birthday card to her that it would not be an overstatement for me to say that she is the heartbeat of Caminoheads. I may have been the guy that stumbled it into being but she has been pumping energy into it since her coming onboard in 2017.

2017 seems like a long time ago now and I am so thankful that Cris has been such a constant abiding force here. She is the reason why we have the neighborhood that we have now. She brought the neighborhood idea with her.

One of her greatest abilities is to see opportunities in all our dire situations. Yes, isn’t that great. There is never a time were there is nothing to do. That’s how she operates.

So, I am saying that she is pretty indispensable around the blog. Just want to acknowledge that fact as a kind of birthday card for her.
Let’s look forward to August to the get together here to see her and give her big hugs.

And we are on our way, just as the solstice has changed the reality of the light we are on the way out of this pandemic to making it to the oasis of our August party. As with the change in the amount of light per day it is too early to sense the difference but nonetheless the inevitability is established.

    1. Thank you, Ryck! So good to see you the other night!
Happy holidays to you and the family!

  1. Yes, Cris really has the words to capture our attention and focus it in a worthwhile direction. Thank you for consistently doing that! And Happy Birthday, Ann and I enjoyed your zoom party.

    1. Dear Ron,

You have consistently encouraged me to express my ideas and writing them down, and I am so glad this trascended the blog, exchanging also emails. I was touched to read that you spent Christmas Eve dinner with a family with another Argentinian member, particularly after we exchanged the emails about Christmas celebrations here in my country.
Within the things I am very proud of we are all doing here at Caminoheads -and somehow with you and I contributing in a special way- is that we are celebrating the differences among us, and find in them what makes us grow not only in our cultural background, but in our tolerance and human nature.

Once again, I want to thank you and Anne for attending my zoom party, and for enriching my life.

      Abrazos,
      Cris

  2. Dear Phil,

I am full of gratitude and love reading this “birthday card”… it is a true gift to have been invited to your tapas table, and join you and so many others to explore our lives… from the distance, walking with you has not always been possible, but sitting with you in the tapas table is a daily ritual that has made my life infinitely better.

    More tomorrow!
    But HUGE LOVES today!
    Cris
