Guess What? We’re Celebrating!

Yup, my gift from the Magi showed up big time! It’s Epiphany, right? January 6th, right? I am cleared for immunotherapy! Will follow with some details but for the moment we are calling it a WIN. It is the way forward! A new trail!

Neither Rebecca nor I totally understood all the lingo at Nugget’s meeting but got enough of it to get that it was a good thing. So basically my cancer is putting off a major amount of mutations. Twice as much as is needed to put it in this category for this treatment.
I’m in, or actually my cancer is in.

The drug chosen to start this process is Pembrolizumab or more commonly known as Keytruda. A couple of my knowledgeable oncology nurses said that they liked that one, they were encouraging. I’m happy with that.

That’s all I have energy for today. Thanks you all for your thoughts and prayers.

jumping to the next rock loves, Felipé.

  6. Yes Epiphany and I believe that is said to be the day that the Magi visited the infant Jesus.it’s is thought that these Magi where Zoroastrian priests.i some Catholic countries in Europe it’s taken very seriously and I remember getting off a train in Zagreb, Croatia once to find everything shut luckily there was an automatic machine to change money which obviously I was cautious about using, put the money in and nothing comes out including the money that you put in, but thankfully it worked!I had to look up Pembrolizumab: used to treat; melanoma, lung, head, neck, Hodgkin’s lymphoma and stomach cancer Keytruda is it’s trade name. I’ve had a number of conversations with doctors and pharmacists where they are using the scientific name and me the trade name leading to confusion. The one I take is called Bexarotene tradename Targretin but Targretin is easier to say!well good luck and the daylight is returning I noticed a slight increase today.

    1. Kevan ~ yea, this Epiphany is not a new one on me but it has been amplified by Cris our awesome Bureau Chief in Buenos Aires. Now I am totally with it! As for the drug names, yes it is confusing, terribly confusing. But lastly the really great news also about the lengthening days! So happy! Felipé.
