Finally Friday

Our hunting camp last fall. Looking for a similar situation tomorrow.

Two things to accomplish today, get to the hospital to finish up my treatment and pack my trusty truck for the trip east. It is all in the realm of possibility no problem. But this may be a short post because of that scheduling pressure.

I have a nuts and bolts question for you. The last two months the readership to this blog has fallen off, at least the stats show that. I don’t know if that is really true or just a glitch somewhere. I noticed that I don’t get your comments through my email anymore and that happened in the last two months. My question for you is did you notice something different recently? Maybe there is some sort of formatting glitch that is hindering our communications.

Always a challenge fighting the technology wars. Just when I think I have my own personal rut in order something changes. I really need an on staff eleven year old to keep this in order.

Well, enough of that. I am taking along a Thomas Merton book for my trip. I have never really read anything by him only a quote here and there. So, we will see what develops. Oh, it is entitled No Man Is an Island.

There is some sad news coming in from Italy where Rho was robbed of her wallet. We are doing our best to brighten her.
She is our new SW US Caminoheads Bureau Chief coincidentally. Maybe if you haven’t said hi lately you could.

OK, I have to go. The clock is ticking a little louder than usual. Love you guys, Felipe.

I receive. “Truth”, so I stay in good graces with God (you and My Rebecca),…I read, I sometimes read, Wednesday night I facilitated 63 at our first Women’s Bible Study, Faith Formation starts this Sunday with 38 K-6th little people-and have been communicating with their sets of parents…(yikes) and trained 7 “hallelujah” volunteers, had a grandbaby boy born, house plans are moving forward with the City (unless RR is ready for me), and DANG….DANG DANG…headed to Puerto Vallerta on Oct 20, so will miss David Cooks invite to stay at his Albergue and Annie’s to come for the premiere of PC ~ SFSG…twisted my ankle, fell down 2 stairs, broke a toe….YA DA YA DA YA DA……. BUT……will see you before the end of the year and…..Love you both, S

    1. Holy molie Sherie ~ sounds like you need a raise for all the stuff you are up to. Hope to see you soon down the trail before too long. God bless, Felipe.x

    1. Hi Jean ~ OK, thanks. I got set up with some wifi so am here for you even though we are far from any sort of paved road. Love it, Felipe.x

  2. Hola Amigo!

Not just yours, but a couple of other blogs I follow regularly have been more difficult to get comments posted on. The block is marked “notify me of new posts by email”, and that isn’t happening either. So, that eleven year old that you get hired has some wires to check on to see what’s come loose.

Good luck with your hunting! I’ll be heading east tomorrow as well with a load of my farm equipment to help daughter Kelley and family with some heavy-duty dirt moving around their as-yet-unfinished-new house. The labor/machinery costs in suburban Chicago would choke a horse, so it’s Daddy-come-and-save-our-budget! The farm ground here is totally saturated and it will be more than a few days before I can crank the harvest back into gear. We had our first skiff of snow this morning and Jack Frost was flirting with the thermometer. The growing season is officially about to come to an end.

I never miss an issue ol’ Pilgrim. It just wouldn’t be a complete day without it. I’ll be seeing you soon! How’s that sound? Flip for first beer????

    1. PFJ ~ hey, good to hear from you. Yea, I think the is some techno glitch in the system. Safe travels to Chicago. I think they have Wifi there, you should be able to get Caminoheads. Snow huh, wow. Looking forward to future meetings. Felipe, Farmer type.

  3. Hola Felipe,
It’s been awhile since I last dropped you a line. Sad to say that Jeff and I are getting divorced after 16 years. I’m on a different path now. I’m figuring my new life out. I’m blessed to have so many good people in my life. Hardship to heart ship right? Have a wonderful and safe trip.
    Love,
    Erin
    Still in Salt Lake City

    1. Oh Erin ~ sorry to hear your news. It is so helpful, vital really, to have good friends in your life to keep you buoyed up. Keep in touch and God bless on your new voyage, Felipe.x
