Adding Heat

Hey look there’s Felipé and Sture. This was drawn up by Rho’s Aunt Charlotte.

The days are getting shorter and the temps are steadily falling. October it is. The trees are starting to turn with the pears leading the way with a dark red. The deer are getting real serious about gathering calories to put on fat for the months ahead. And I haven’t started to get organized to start feeding the birds. Think that I will wait for the time change.

The new wood stove sits in it’s spot on the hearth. Today is the day to clean the chimney and hook it up. Have to start adding heat to our living quarters. No foolin says Rebecca. Then the propane tanks need filling. That is the fuel for the cook stove. Don’t want to run out cooking the Thanksgiving turkey. With wood and propane we are not dependent on electricity which can be down for days some winters.

We had tapas out on the deck yesterday with Henriette. We were all bundled up with sweaters. But it was bright and dry, so good. OK, just looked up when daylight savings is over for the year. It is 2am PT Sunday November 3rd. So, the walk that day will start at 1530, a half hour earlier til spring.

Off I go. Off to work on Autumn, a time of change.

Autumn loves, Felipé.

  1. That’s kind of a very nice draw, isn’t it? I like the fact that Sture is walking with you, and that you are carrying the Caminoheads blog with you as you walk in your bagpack… or at least, that is what I see…

Yes, supposedly, Spring is here, but Monday night we had a tremendous Thunderstorm during the night, with hail and wind, and it sounded like the end of the world from my bed in my tiny apartment… since then, it has been cold and grey… yet, the vine that grows in the wall of our building in the sunny months, is showing its green leaves… !

    1. Dear Counter-Seasons ~ Yes, I love it! I look so young for one thing. I didn’t realizing that I was carrying the blog, that’s good. And Sture, I will have to talk about Sture sometime. Watch the new green leaves! Felipé.x

  2. WhenI returned from the Veranda I shared Phil’s Camino with my Aunt Charlotte. She enjoyed it so much we watched it a second time the same night. The next day when I returned home she had completed this picture and told me that she added Sture because his spirit still walks with Phil. We have a new fan of Phil’s Camino and I hope someday she can watch the longer version.

    Thanks for sharing this Felipe!
